Different church traditions approach baptism in different ways. Some completely immerse adults only while some sprinkle water on your forehead, either as a baby or as an adult.

Simply put, baptism is an outward display and celebration of the decision you have already made to trust Jesus with your eternity. It’s a chance to celebrate and share the story of how Jesus made you right with God and is transforming you. It’s one more way to signal to others—and yourself—that you’re a follower of Jesus.

Jesus introduced the concept of baptism to the church to represent initiation into the family of God. This act of obedience paints a picture of a believer’s death to sin, the burial of their old life, and their resurrection to walk in the newness of life found in Jesus Christ alone. 

At Generations Church we gently ease new believers under water and then lift them to applause, encouragement, and celebration.
